Evaluation of disengagement from the MSF Bon Marché Hospital in Bunia / DRC

The purpose of this evaluation was to inform and improve the hand over of MSF’s activities in Bunia (in 2010 and beyond) and to document lessons from the disengagement process to enable other MSF projects to learn from it. The objectives were to evaluate: i) the appropriateness of hand-over/disengagement strategies including the collaboration with MoH and other actors and the effectiveness of capacity building,  ii) the effectiveness of the transfer / hand over in terms of outcomes for the patients iii) the appropriateness of (overall) strategic operational choices – related to the disengagement - made throughout the project period
